Happy Weekend Readers. I hope you’re having a good one? I am, and it’s mainly because of the SUNSHINE!!!!! It was only Tuesday that I did my complaining about the weather…and voila, suddenly the sun is shiny and I feel groovy. I’ve spent the day outside soaking in those precious rays. What a difference some warmth makes.
This weekend I’m sharing the songs I listened to most this week. They don’t really go together, and in that they perfectly reflect the kind of week I’ve had. Jumping from one thing to another, one thought to another, one place to another…nothing cohesive, but the whole has balance and makes a quirky sort of sense. Shake It Out has been shouted and sung until my throat is raw…but I think I may actually have managed to shake it out – whatever it was – and now I’m ready for some of the very cool adventures coming my way. The past few weeks have brought changes and challenges, which I’ll share in due course, but for now let me leave you with these words. ‘When the Lord closes a door, somewhere He opens a window’ Maria – Sound of Music (my all-time favourite film)
Bombay Bicycle Club – Always Like This
Florence + The Machine – Shake It Out
Grace Potter & The Nocturnals – Stars
The Maccabees – In The Dark
Lianne La Havas – Age
Oasis – Falling Down
Zero 7 & Sophie Barker – In The Waiting Line
Thanks for listening/watching. Hope it’s a wonderful weekend Folks!
